Went here for an early light lunch with my Mum. She is vege and I'm vegan. Let's just start by saying if you are completely plant based or have any dairy allergies JUST AVOID this place completely. They served me toast with butter despite my being explicit that I am non dairy. They served my Mum scrambled egg with no butter or margarine so her toast was dry. The soya milk curdled in her coffee. The tea was meant to be decaf but by the label wasn't. The service staff, were 'polite' but looked disinterested in their jobs. I can't blame them but we all have days when we would rather not be in work, you suck it up and smile and do your best. Won't be returning.

Food here is normally good but it didn’t really go well this time. We ordered the pizza which came with a pizza cutter which we were struggling to cut through. It didn’t seem that it was freshly made. Atmosphere is always the best but we were let down by the food.

The website states it is open until 9pm Wednesday onwards and we arrived at 6:15pm on a Wednesday to find it closed! Very disappointing.

We turned up very last minute to quote a large table, and the staff was very good to accommodate us and very helpful. Buy one, get one free on pizza is a go-to choice, and they are very good with plenty of choices for toppings. It has very nice coffee and a big selection of cakes and deserts.

We ordered our drinks before the rest of the family but ours for some reason turned up last, we had paid for it but somehow our order had been lost.

After a pleasant coastal walk from Langland Bay to Caswell Bay and back, we popped into The Surfside Cafe for lunch. We didn't stay because the menu items looked overpriced and the cafe seemed understaffed. We drove round to Bracelet Bay and parked cheaply - £1 for 2 hours (winter tariff). The staff at The Lighthouse were welcoming, the food was good and prices reasonable. We had the Americana pizza, the chicken mozzarella pesto panini and the beef burger. I recommend the burger which came with home made chips (like chip shop chips). It was fairly quiet when we visited so service was prompt. Looking out onto the bay and lighthouse, with the gentle sound of rain against the window was relaxing. The restaurant was clean as were the toilets.
